Prohibitionism is practice of enabling and encouraging the state to 'ban' drugs. It encourages the state to prevent people from freely choosing whichever drugs they want to use. It is the practice whereby the state takes ownership of the drugs and prevents their use where it does not agree. It is the authoritarian ownership of psychoactive drugs by the state.
