In everything which follows in this post I will be using the term ‘blind’ to signify a philosophical refusal to see the truth and not in terms of the physical ailment.
We know there are certain facts in the world otherwise there would be nothing. We can think of these facts as physical laws. They are things which are different from the general nihilism of much of philosophy. Some facts (or truths) are obvious and some are difficult to notice. It can be frustrating to talk with people who cannot or refuse to see the truth as you see it… and whom are unable to contradict your interpretation of reality. In some sense we are wasting our time if we talk too much about a truth we believe but which is unseen by other people. Eventually all truths emerge and reveal themselves so it is perhaps the best use of our time to talk only about things which are seen by both participants in a conversation or (if we do not want to discuss positive truths) to talk about negatives and nihilism.
We know from Wittgenstein that 'Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.' so then if we are talking with someone who does not see the truth as we see it then we are wasting our time and we should be silent with this person.
It is a waste of time to talk with people who cannot see.
