In the future there will be not much to do

Assuming that you will always be able to have adequate access to land then due to the increasing automation of labour we will have very few wants. Because technology keeps improving more and more of our desires will easily be met to the extent that we will not be able to find work. We will be able to find work if there are still problems to solve but if everything is taken care of then there will be no work. The ability to find a job means that not everything is taken care of and so to some extent we can take satisfaction in the inability of some (qualified) people to find work because this means that people do not have problems. We can be pleased for example if the doctor is unable to find work because this means that everyone is well. The ability to find work proves that things are not perfect. If things are perfect (and the robots are doing everything) then it will be impossible to find a job.
