Prohibitionists are insane

It is absurd to think that drug prohibition is a good idea. If people want to take drugs they have a right to. We own our own bodies and so that means we have a right to take drugs. If people want to prevent other people from taking drugs they have a right to offer educational information to them but nothing more. The state does not have a right to intervene when someone decides to take drugs. To some people drugs are medicine. It would be inappropriate for the state to make conventional medicines illegal and to treat 'drugs' differently is to make an arbitrary distinction.
