Everything in life is logical apart from life itself. It is illogical that we are alive because we did not choose to exist. We have not chosen to live so to live is illogical but everything else is logical (of course). The mystery is why we were born. Was it a mistake of our parents? If that is true then it must be true of everyone going back in time... so was there a 'first' mistake? History is a lack of enlightenment into eternity... the enlightened do not have children so to live requires ignorance. You are the result of a lack of enlightenment on the part of your parents. If there is stupidity there will (can) be life. (Life requires stupidity.) But evolution rewards at least a certain level of intelligence so there will always be people being born on the edge of enlightenment... Buddhism will not die out because of logic and evolution. Evolution makes people get more intelligent and logic makes them more enlightened.
Existence does not validate life... to have been born doesn't mean that life is good or logical. It's not about you... you are not the focus of existence... your (experience of) life is an accident so we must then be humble... in the presence of life.
