The poor have not chosen their fate

Free will doesn't exist to the extent that we can positively choose to do something... only to the extent that we can reject bad ideas and wait for something better to come along. We cannot choose to do something we can only choose not to do something. We can veto bad options but not choose better ones. (Where would they come from?) We are offered better options by our environment. If we have no good options there is not much we can do about it. Opportunity depends on our environment nothing intrinsic to do with ourselves. So if we see someone who is poor we can deduce they have been given a lack of opportunities... most people take good opportunities so the poor have been given none.
