Capital cannot be gained without work

A problem with work is that we must do the work before we get paid... so we work to prevent the cessation of payment (to continue to get paid). We work to expand and maintain our capital. For example to maintain the capital of our employment we must continue working... our salary is a dividend on the capital of our employment which we must maintain by showing up for work. If we do not work we will not gain (and may lose) capital.
