If there is no free will then no one is responsible for their material actions

It is a performative contradiction to deny free will... when we consider the possibility of the presence (or absence) of free will we engage the mind and consciousness. In doing so we use the mind to determine whether or not it exists. If it does exist then so too does free will otherwise there could be no thought. The mind and free will exist by definition. If it does not this is pure redundancy because nothing exists. Free will does exist otherwise nothing exists. Free will is everything there is nothing outside the mind. There is nothing but free will and consciousness.
